Before you start

  • 1x medium baking dish
  • 1x saucepan

Chop, chop!

  • Heat your oven to 220ºC/fan 200ºC/gas 7.
  • Trim the leeks and halve them lengthways, then thinly slice into half-moons. Cut the courgettes into ¼cm-thick slices. Peel and finely chop the garlic.
  • On a separate board, trim any visible fat from the bacon then chop.

Bring everything together

  • In an ovenproof baking dish, combine the leeks, courgettes, garlic and bacon with the chicken. Squeeze in the Marmite, vinegar and garlic & herb paste and stir.

Ready, steady... bake!

  • Dissolve half the stock cube in 200ml boiled water (use all the stock and 300ml water for 4 portions), then pour it into the dish, stir well and bake for 20-22 mins, until the chicken is cooked through.

Sort the orzo

  • Meanwhile, cook the orzo in boiling water for 7-8 mins, then drain.

Finish & serve

  • Stir the cooked orzo into the ovenproof dish, then serve.
