Zippy prawn & orzo arrabbiata

If you’re after a dish that’s fast, filling and fizzing with flavour, stop right here. Plump prawns cooked with tomatoes and green beans in a classic Italian garlic, chilli and tomato sauce are stirred into orzo pasta (the one that looks a bit like rice). Oh, and it’s ready in 20 minutes!

Boil the orzo

  • Cook the orzo in boiling water for 7-8 mins, then drain.

Create a stir!

  • Meanwhile, trim and halve the green beans, then peel and finely dice the onions.
  • Spritz a large non-stick frying pan with cooking spray and put it over a medium-high heat. Fry the green beans, onions and tomatoes for 5 mins.
  • Add the chilli flakes (to taste), oregano and garlic paste and cook for 2 mins.

Simmer those prawns

  • Crumble in half the stock cube, then pour in 150ml water (use all the stock and 250ml water for 4 portions) and the passata. Stir in the prawns and simmer for 5-7 mins until theyʼre pink.

Finish & serve

  • Stir the orzo into the arrabbiata sauce and serve.
